Objectives

Our program integrates science, engineering, and art to inspire children to explore their creativity and critical thinking skills through hands-on learning.

Program Design

Science and Engineering

An opportunity to understand the world and gain confidence in the sciences and the workings of engineering.

Teaching basic engineering concepts by building simple structures, such as bridges made of popsicle sticks or circuits with LED lights.

Introducing fundamental science principles through fun experiments like creating slime, making bottle rockets, or conducting simple chemical reactions (safe and visually engaging).

Art

Designing art projects that complement the science activities engages children in interdisciplinary creative work involving art, technology and science.

Decorating bridges or circuits with creative designs using natural dyes or pigments created during the science segment for painting. This is also a great opportunity to incorporate sustainability by providing the skills to develop and use natural, non-toxic dyes.

Exploring sculpture with recycled materials to promote sustainability helps children discover connections between art and STEM fields. Builds confidence in both creative and technical skills.

Mentorship

Provides opportunities for mentorship and exposure to role models.

High school and college students mentor children and develop a project from beginning to end, integrating science, engineering and art.

Brainstorming and discussing basic science principles will expand the children’s knowledge.

Conducting experiments and building prototypes for bridges, sculptures, chemical energy and electric motors will allow children to apply their new science knowledge into real objects and solutions!

Children gain confidence and discover new passions, new dreams.

Showcase & Recognition

An opportunity to share the children’s accomplishments

Organizing small exhibitions where children can present their projects to their families and community members.

The art students curate the display while the science students explain the STEM concepts behind the projects.
